In August, GM performed layoffs in its tool and services and products category, affecting some 600 workers in Warren, Michigan.

GM mentioned the corporate “must simplify for speed and excellence, make bold choices, and prioritize the investments that will have the greatest impact” as the corporate “build[s] GM’s future.”
