The Source of revenue Tax (I-T) Section has prolonged the week for submitting audit file for 2023-24 through seven days until October 7.

In a round, the I-T Section mentioned taking into consideration the difficulties confronted through taxpayers in digital submitting of diverse audit stories underneath the Source of revenue Tax Function, the closing date is being prolonged from September 30, 2024 to October 7, 2024.

Moore Singhi Govt Director Rajat Mohan mentioned technological problems in digital submitting of tax audit stories have driven the Govt to increase timelines through seven extra days.

“Load of filings is quite high on the portal in the last few days, throwing the entire ecosystem in a frenzy. Government should either upgrade the system to handle such rush or stagger the timelines for tax filings,” Mr. Mohan mentioned .
