Accusing Congress of spreading incorrect information, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday (August 27, 2024) stated the newly introduced UPS is a untouched pension scheme and no longer a rollback.
“It is not a rollback… it is different from OPS (Old Pension Scheme) and NPS (National Pension System). It is clearly a new package,” she stated, including, the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) is healthier and can fulfill maximum govt staff.
